UNICEF surveys showed that the population of out of school children showed that Nigeria is about 20 million children are out of school in Nigeria. However an estimated 258 million children and youth are out of school, according to UIS data for the school year, out of the 244 million children are 6 to 18, not in school, more than 40% or 98 million of them live in Sub-saharan Africa including Nigeria. According to the statistics India, Nigeria, and Pakistan have the highest figures for out of school children globally. But the insecurity, kidnapping of school children most parents are not disposed to sending their children to school. Many children may remain out of school as no fewer that 650 schools have remained shut
