Women: At the receiving end of violence    Violence against women and girls is a human rights violation, and the immediate and long term, physical, sexual, and mental consequences for women and girls can be devastating, including health. Gender based violence hinder national productivity, as it is occurring among people in the productive age group, who have to deal with its physical and psychological consequences.
